Icon: Mies van der Rohe Bauhaus Armchair

Designed by Mies van Der Rohe for the Bauhaus in 1927. The wicker-work for the chair was created by Lilly Reich, assistant to Mies Van Der Rohe. It is the Icon of Modern Furniture Design. This chair is one of the classics in the history of furniture. Bauhaus became a dominant force in architecture and the applied arts in the 20th century. The main theory was that all design should be functional as well as aesthetically-pleasing.

Hussl Table Designed by Franz Polzhofer

Couldn’t get any more pared down than the this elegant table designed by Franz Polzhofer. SOLID T has a solid wood table top, oak or walnut, hence its name. It is also available with two different edges: straight or bevelled. The filigree top appears to float above the bevelled edges which slope gently downwards. LINO T is the same table but with a aluminium honeycomb composite and a surface in Linoleum.

Mobius Coffee Table by Kristalia

Surfaces usually have two sides, however the designers were inspired by the geometric shape called a Mobius Strip. This occasional table in bent sheet metal with black or white lacquer finish, is perfect for small and large spaces and it comes in two sizes.

The Plateau line is constructed from 100% certified eco-friendly renewable cellulose fiber and resin compressed together to form a solid slab. The result is a sleek black surface with the weight of stone and the warmth of wood. All the tables and benches that make up the Plateau line are suitable for indoor as well as outdoor use.

Peter Maly designed the Cemia bed to complement the range of storage of the same name. Wholly without embellishment or unnecessary trappings of luxury, it is comfortably soft, yet with clean, functional lines. In Cemia, Peter Maly has achieved a highly successful synthesis between the minimalism of the 1990’s and the organic forms of the 1960’s. The headboard is offered in two widths, allowing the bed to suit rooms of varying sizes. The bed frame is also available without the headboard. When combined with the bedside tables, chests of drawers and wardrobes of the Cemia range of storage, bedrooms of a particularly harmonious, peaceful nature are created.

Silver Sunday Easy Chair by Interstuhl

Hadi Teherani has extended the Silver range. Those who work hard also need rest and relaxation, so it was logical to develop an armchair offering users supreme comfort and top class design for waiting, relaxing of an evening or simply everyday sitting. And so an easy chair was born, soon to be available in the “Silver” design and either low or high-backed. The swivel armchair is beautifully sprung and rests on an elegant three-legged stand. The aluminium frame and upholstery draw on the characteristic design features of previous Silver models. A u-shaped stool complements the armchair, and can also be used as a small side table.

platten_bau is a complete assembly shelving system. The separate components are simply put together, without the use of tools. The shelves are made out of 4mm thick hpl-boards. The final construction gives the unit structure and end up with a high weight-bearing capacity.

Ventaglio Table by Cassina

Architect Charlotte Perriand made her name collaborating with Le Corbusier in the late 1920s and is best known for her modern take on rustic farm stools and other furniture designs. Designed in 1972 for her own chalet in France she created the Ventaglio 511, an abstract reduction of an Asian fan made from what appears to be planks of flooring with three unmatched elliptical legs. The asymmetrical shape of Ventaglio provides for dynamic and flexible usage, as a dining table or a sculptural desk.
